I graduated from Bucknell University in May 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I have Pennsylvania and New York State Initial Certificates in Elementary Education (Grade 1-6) and Early Childhood Education (Birth-2nd grade). I graduated with a 3.79 GPA.
Experience
Currently, I am working as a teacher at Kaplan Cooperative Preschool in Hoboken, NJ. For the past two years, I worked as a substitute teacher for the Lakeland Central School District. I also completed a leave replacement in a fourth grade classroom for the last two months of the 2010-2011 school year. I have worked in after-school programs and babysat many children over the years which enables me to help with homework and studying. I have always enjoyed helping others and am passionate about working with children. Taking Education classes at Bucknell University helped me to teach with more consideration to a student's needs. If one teaching style does not work with a student, I use different methods so that the student can really understand the information (i.e. some children respond well to technology aids or picture clues when working on assignments). From my various teaching experiences I have tons of resources that I can use in a tutoring session.

Hobbies
I was the theatre specialist at JCC Camp Discovery in Westchester county, NY for the past 2 summers. I enjoy singing, acting, and dancing and grew up doing all three. I also enjoy reading for fun (although I never used to as a child).
