I graduated from Loyola University with a B.A. in Elementary Education, along with a minor in special education. Upon graduating, I started teaching a variety of elementary students. I have experience teaching third grade, fifth grade mathematics, and at the moment, I am a first grade teacher.I teach a range of subjects, including English as a second language, algebra, elementary math, writing, phonics, English grammar, and phonics. However, reading is my absolute favorite to teach. I enjoy being able to watch the children learn, and develop a love for reading while doing so.As a teacher, I make my lessons exciting and engaging. By doing this, I have watched as every student improve in his or her classroom skills. More importantly, I watched as my students became lifelong learners.When I am not teaching, I like to stay active through hiking and tennis. I also enjoy reading books, and being around my family and friends.
