Stevens Institute of Technology - BS,MS, Chemical Biology Class of 2018 expected graduation. I have extensive course work in all tutored subjects and have a great calculus, chemistry, and biology background. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.70. I also have a minor in Social Science and have great leadership and orating skills which help teaching.
Experience
I am currently a tutor through the Academic Support Center at Stevens Institute of Technology and I've been doing this for both of my 2 years at Stevens. Every one of my tutees has had tremendous success after meeting with me once or twice a week. In addition, I conduct full lecture hall size review sessions for Calculus 1,2 and Chemistry. These sessions are designed to help the students review material before upcoming exams. I love being a tutor because I have a passion for teaching. I want to become a professor after I get my Ph.D. I love building a personal relationship with the student because i believe that is the gateway to easy learning. If the student is comfortable, they will have nothing hindering them from learning at their own pace. Regarding course work, I've taken and aced virtually every mathematics, chemistry (including organic), and biology class that I've taken since high school and I have no problem with any of the material that I plan to tutor. When it comes to biology, it is hard to remember every detail of a cell, for example, but I can review it pre session and teach concept better than anyone else. I guarantee it.
