Experience
I attended the Collegiate School in New York City before attending Skidmore College. At SC, I studied religion, philosophy, history, and government. While at SC, I began tutoring young students as a classroom assistant in my main subjects. I graduated from SC with honors before enrolling at the New School for Social Research to earn my masters in ancient, modern, and contemporary political, legal, and moral philosophy. I started tutoring other students in graduate school, many of whom still reach out when they have an academic problem. My communication, logical, and conceptual skills allow me to break down complex concepts into smaller ideas. I work with each student to improve their academic performance while building skills for their future coursework. I focus on the student's strengths and weaknesses to form a personalized learning plan that allows us to work through the barriers they struggle with while building their self-confidence. I strive to be flexible with my students to meet the pacing that is best suited to their learning needs. Outside of academia, I am a philosophy nut. I love discussing literature with others, particularly Shakespeare. I am a Star Wars fanatic and I enjoy biking.
